Welcome RRI's Founder and Director: Alejandro J. Ramos

Ithaca, New York — September 26, 2023 — Alejandro J. Ramos is a visionary leader and the driving force behind The Ramos Research Institute (RRI). As both the Director and Founder of RRI, Alejandro embarks on a transformative journey to realize the institute's mission of providing innovative solutions and insights to some of the most pressing issues facing society today.

With a profound commitment to rigorous research and a deep understanding of the intricate dynamics of policy, Alejandro has become a trusted authority in the field of voting behaviors of minorities where he consults organizations and campaigns on the Hispanic vote. His academic journey began with a strong foundation in research, culminating in his current role as Brooks Public Policy Fellow with the Master of Public Administration at Cornell’s Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy.

Before founding RRI, Alejandro honed his research acumen while serving as a research assistant at Sacred Heart University, where he collaborated with an esteemed scholar, Gary L. Rose Ph.D., to contribute to the completion of a groundbreaking manuscript on the Connecticut Republican Party. The duo, also collaborated in the creation of The Rose Political Podcast, a successful well watched podcast on the political happenings of the U.S. and Connecticut. These early experiences ignited his passion for academic excellence and his aspiration to address societal challenges through research. Alejandro's intellectual curiosity and dedication to public service have led him to become a published author. Additionally, he has been a featured presenter at prominent national conferences, where he has shared his insights and findings with fellow experts and researchers. He is currently working on his first manuscript for publishing, which promises to make a significant contribution to the field of political analysis in voting behaviors of Hispanics in the U.S.

As the Director and Founder of RRI, Alejandro Ramos provides visionary leadership to the institute, charting a course for its research initiatives in critical areas such as state and local government, education policies and initiatives, and the voting behaviors of minorities. His strategic direction, commitment to actionable research, and experience as a conference presenter are central to RRI's inaugural efforts to tackle "wicked problems" through rigorous, relevant, and impactful research.
