New appointments signal continued growth in operations, civic engagement, and strategic development
CLIFFSIDE PARK, NJ – AUGUST 5, 2025 — The Ramos Research Institute (RRI) is proud to announce the expansion of its leadership team with the appointment of Alex Rosado as Chief of Staff, the promotion of Josephine Hall to Operations and Development Coordinator, and the elevation of Anya Mateu-Asbury to Deputy Director for Civic Initiatives within the Policy in Action Lab (PAL). These additions reflect the Institute’s commitment to empowering the next generation of public policy leaders while enhancing its strategic and civic programming capacity.
“RRI was built on the belief that emerging leaders deserve not only a seat at the table but real responsibility. Alex, Josie, and Anya have each demonstrated the heart, intellect, and drive that will shape our next chapter,” said Alejandro J. Ramos, Executive Director and Founder of RRI.
Alex Rosado, RRI’s new Chief of Staff, joins the Institute bringing strong operational instincts, leadership experience, and a deep alignment with RRI’s mission of bridging research and public impact. He will oversee cross-departmental coordination, support executive decision-making, and play a critical role in team development.
“With an array of public policy experts, an expanding library of research, and an analytically-driven approach to civic education, the Ramos Research Institute is an emerging organization that can effectively engage in discourse while molding it in its vision,” said Rosado, “I am grateful to be part of this dedicated team and excited to contribute to the Institute's fundraising efforts, operations, and overall trajectory.”
Josephine Hall, who began her journey at RRI as a Research Assistant, has risen steadily through the ranks over the past year and a half. Most recently serving as a Junior Research Associate, she now takes on the role of Operations and Development Coordinator, where she will oversee donor relations, alumni engagement, and internal process improvement.
“It is a privilege to take on this new role within the Ramos Research Institute. My time with the institute has been a great learning experience so far and I am eager to continue this trend as operations and development coordinator,” said Hall.
Anya Mateu-Asbury, a recent intern who made a lasting mark on the Citizenship Empowerment Framework (CEF) project, has been appointed Deputy Director for Civic Initiatives. Her new role positions her as a central leader within the Policy in Action Lab (PAL), where she will help direct the Institute’s civic engagement work. During her internship, Anya emerged as an informal team leader, consistently contributing sharp insights and helping to shape the project’s vision and impact.
“Each of these leaders reflects RRI’s deep investment in mentorship, internal growth, and elevating civic inquiry. Their leadership will guide some of our most ambitious efforts yet,” said Ramos.
