Job Description:
As a Public Relations Intern at The Ramos Research Institute, you will play an integral role in promoting our institute's work, managing media relations, and enhancing our online presence. You will work closely with our PR team to develop your skills, contribute to real-world PR campaigns, and help us communicate our research achievements effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in drafting press releases, media advisories, and other PR materials to announce research findings, events, and initiatives.
- Coordinate media outreach efforts, including building media lists, pitching stories, and tracking coverage.
- Support the organization of media interviews, press conferences, and media events.
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing media coverage to assess our institute's reputation andimpact.
- Collaborate with the social media team to create content and engage with our online audience.
- Help maintain media contact databases and distribution lists.
- Contribute to the development of communication materials, including newsletters, blogposts, and website content.
- Assist in the preparation of PR reports and analytics.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for PR campaigns.
- Provide administrative support to the PR team as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

● Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

● Strong written and verbal communication skills.

● Interest in public relations, media relations, and communications.

● Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks.

● Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with media monitoring tools is a plus.

● Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.

● Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

● Passion for promoting research and contributing to positive change.
